There’s a lot of information about things coming up in the next few days, and we want to be sure you are in the know!
INDEPENDENCE DAY SCHEDULE
Remember that this Wednesday, July 4th, all services and activities are CANCELED. We normally allow people to use our parking lot and front lawn to view the fireworks from downtown. The city has moved locations this year, and the fireworks will be moved further south. We will still make our property available but know that the view may be very different from what it has been in years past. We have no way of knowing how good a view it will be until the night of the event.
LAST CALL FOR BLOCK PARTY PARTICIPANTS
This Sunday, July 8th, is the LAST DAY to sign up to be part of a group that attends and helps with one of our five neighborhood block parties. Being part of a team means that you show up at the host home, help get things set up, meet and greet the guests who come, and be the face of FBC. Again, your last chance to sign up is THIS SUNDAY. A sign-up sheet is on the desk in the welcome center, or you can email rjackson@fbcmilton.org or jrussell@fbcmilton.org.
FAMILY GAME NIGHT / MEN’S CAKE BAKE OFF IS THIS SUNDAY!
We’re looking forward to our Family Game Night this Sunday evening at 6:00 PM! Here’s the details: bring your favorite board game and a competitive, but Christ-like spirit. *grin* Rumor is that we’ll have a few jumbo size games, so you’ll want to come and check those out as well! AND MEN… This is also the night of our men’s cake bake off. This weekend dust off the apron, get down the ingredients, and whip up a cake and decorate it. Bring it to the FLC by 5:30 PM for judging. We’ll announce the winners during our Family Game Night.
GET INVOLVED IN OUR NIGHT OF FELLOWSHIP
There’s another wonderful opportunity for fellowship coming up on Sunday night, July 29th. This is our Night of Fellowship where we make an intentional effort to provide an opportunity for you to meet and get to know other church members that you might not otherwise meet.
You can participate in one of two ways. First, if you would be willing to host a group of 10-12 people in your home, sign up no later than July 15th.
Second, if you want to be a part of a fellowship group that attends a host home on July 29th, please sign up to be part of a group no later than July 22nd. (Please do not request a specific group to attend, as the goal of this night of fellowship is to have a mixture of people in various seasons of life.) Sign up sheets can be found on the table in the welcome center.
Be sure to get signed up and involved in these great opportunities. We hope you have a great Independence Day. Stay safe and make plans to be in a connections group this Sunday at 9:15, then join us for worship at 10:30. And you’ll definitely want to be here to enjoy a fun night of fellowship and cake tasting at 6:00 PM. See you there!
