Jonathan spent the first 18 years of his life in the sticks of south Arkansas, growing up in a small rural community called Bodcaw. While in Arkansas he became a Christian, surrendered to preach, and pastored his first church at the age of 16, when he was a junior in high school.

Jonathan next lived in Mississippi for 20 years, pastoring three churches. His most recent pastorate was in Jackson, Mississippi, where he served for 10 years. While in Mississippi he became a husband to Mandy and a dad to Jake and Cameron.

Jonathan currently resides in Milton, Florida, where he serves as the pastor of First Baptist Church. He holds an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Bible), two graduate degrees (Master of Divinity and Master of Theology), and a doctorate degree (PhD).
