Church Family,
We’re excited to celebrate Easter with you and many others this week at FBC! We’re expecting a great number of guests to join us Sunday, and we want to do what we can to make our guests feel welcome.
Please note a couple of important announcements as we prepare for Sunday.
First, we are asking our members who are physically able to consider parking off campus for this one Sunday.
We have designated two alternate parking areas (click HERE for a map). The first alternate location is the parking lot at the former administrative building for the school district. It’s a short walk from this parking lot to the church campus. If you’re able to do so, we would ask that you park there and free up a parking space for our guests.
If that parking lot is full, please consider the second alternate location, which is the parking lot that is adjacent to the Exxon gas station on Highway 90. This lot is very close the parking lot in front of the church office. We will run a shuttle across Highway 90 for those who park in this lot and prefer not crossing the highway.
We will have a team of volunteers who will seek to help you find a parking spot on campus. They are there to help you, so please use them for assistance. But if you can park off campus for just this one Sunday, provided you are physically able, it would be a great help to us.
Second, please note that we will continue to provide a children’s church time for preschoolers, but we’re dismissing the children’s church for 1st – 3rd graders on Easter Sunday to allow families to worship together. Of course, if you have a preschooler, toddler, or infant, they are welcome in our service, too, but our nursery and preschool children’s church will be available. Please contact our children’s minister, Judith Coley, if you have any questions (jcoley@fbcmilton.org).
As a reminder, our mid-week service this week (April 17) is canceled, but we will have services on Thursday evening at 6:30 (communion) and on Good Friday at 6:30, to commemorate the sacrificial death of Christ. These will be great times of worship, so we hope you’ll join us.
I’m looking forward to seeing you this week(end) at FBC! Please pray for yourself and others who will attend our service, and ask God to speak to our hearts so that we will take the next step in our relationship with him!
